Many people are curious about how I became and artist - especially when they learned that I did not study art in college. So today, I thought I would share with you my story...
In 2011 (I was 41 years) on a whim I took an online 30-day Do the Doodle Challenge class I thought it would be a simple and fun thing to do. I mean, who doesn't love to doodle!??!!
So I doodled, religiously, for 30 days.
After the 30 days, I continued to doodle. 60 days... 90 days...
And then, something unexpected happened... I started to like my doodles!
So... I dared to consider illustrating my children's book that I had written previously but had stash away ...thinking that I was crazy to even consider publishing it.
For a year+, I illustrated my book... and during that time realized how much I loved creating art! So I kept "arting".
That is how doodling led to me becoming an artist!
