A while back, I was asked to create a wedding invitation for my husband's cousin. Since the wedding was planned for October, Katie the bride, wanted to have an image of an autumn tree as a part of the invitation.
The beautiful wedding was this past weekend, so today I want to share the process of making this invitation.
I started by making the tree and the leaves. I wanted lots of fall colors that I found in magazines, books, decorative papers, and from textures I created.
The background is kraft paper that I added some texture to with cream acrylic paint and a sponge.
After the tree was done, I scanned the artwork and digitally created the invitation and reply card. I added in the text, created the design, drew the maps, and more.
I was really happy with how the invitation and reply card turned out...But, more importantly, Katie and Ben said they loved all of it!
Last week, I added the park bench and named it "Autumn is Ours". It was a perfect gift for the happy couple!
It was such a fun project! Thanks Katie and Ben and Congrats!
Make it a Happy Day!
